Forbes has announced the "Celebrity 100 Power List" of the June 2006 - June 2007 interval some time ago.
Oprah Winfrey is back on top of the list. Golf tycoon Tiger Woods, who pulled in $100 million, ranks second. Madonna, absent from the list last year, is No. 3. The pop star's "Confessions" world tour — the highest-grossing tour by any female artist in history, Goldman said — and her adoption of a baby boy in the African country of Malawi put her back in the spotlight.

Accepting the Liberty Medal for his humanitarian work in Africa, Bono exhorted Americans to keep working to solve the world’s problems and spoke of those who are without freedom.
Bono and the organization he co-founded, Debt AIDS Trade Africa, received the award from former Liberty Medal recipient President George H.W. Bush at the National Constitution Center.
